From the moment I arrived, I could tell this resort had its own personality. It feels relaxed and bright, with a modern island energy that’s different from other Sandals I’ve stayed at.

Arrival Experience

The first thing I noticed was how genuinely friendly everyone was. We were greeted with a cool towel and warm smiles right away. Because I arrived for a convention, check in wasn’t the typical Sandals process, but the welcome still felt easy and personal.

Resort Vibe

The overall vibe is a really nice mix of lively and laid-back. The main pool is much more energetic than Sandals Dunn’s River, but there are still plenty of quieter spots if that’s what you’re looking for. It never feels overwhelming. Just balanced.

Accommodations

I’m staying Club Level, and one of my favorite features so far is the lounge chairs right outside my sliding doors. It’s been such a peaceful spot to sit in the sun and unwind. The room feels modern and well designed, without losing that comfortable Sandals feel.

Dining and Allergies

My first meal was at Zuka, and the pork chop was incredible. As always, food safety was front and center for me. The chef came out, reviewed my allergy card, and walked through every ingredient in the dish. I always advocate early, so I asked first, but the care and attention were exactly what I hope for when traveling with celiac disease and other food allergies.

Pool and Beach

I haven’t spent time in the pools yet, but the beach near the main pool has already become a favorite spot. Watching the sunset there has been beautiful. The beach is a bit smaller than Dunn’s River, but just as pretty and calm.

The Little Moment That Stuck

At the first event, I asked for bottled water instead of alcohol because mixers can be tricky for me. At the next event, a server handed me water without me even asking. That kind of awareness is what Sandals does so well, and it’s the moment that reminded me why people love this brand.

Who This Resort Is Great For

This feels like a perfect fit for couples who want a mix of relaxation and entertainment, divers, and travelers who plan to explore the island beyond the resort.

Final Thoughts

My early impression of Sandals Royal Curaçao is that it delivers everything people expect from Sandals, but with a fresher, more modern feel. I can already tell this is a place I’d love to come back to, especially with my husband.
