Stepping Aboard the Disney Treasure

There’s nothing quite like walking onto a Disney ship for the first time, but boarding the Disney Treasure brought a rush of pure excitement. Knowing this ship was new to us, even though it’s been sailing for a little over a year, made everything feel extra special. From the moment I entered the Grand Hall, it was clear this ship was something different.

The space felt familiar if you’ve sailed on the Disney Wish, yet somehow even more beautiful. The scale, the warmth of the design, and the way everything comes together immediately set the tone for an elegant and adventurous voyage. It was that perfect mix of new-ship excitement and classic Disney magic that reminded me why Disney Cruise Line feels like home.

The Ship’s Atmosphere and Design

The Disney Treasure feels both familiar and fresh. The Grand Hall was the most visually striking space for me. While the layout echoes the Wish, the Treasure elevates it in a way that feels more refined and intentional.

One detail that instantly felt “so Disney” was the color story in the Grand Hall columns. The colors reflect Aladdin and Jasmine, beautifully tying into the statue at the center of the space. It’s a subtle detail, but once you notice it, you realize how thoughtfully everything was designed.

Everywhere you look, there are small touches that invite you to slow down and take it all in. The attention to detail is incredible, the kind that makes you pause, smile, and appreciate the storytelling Disney does so well.

Dining on the Disney Treasure

Dining is always a highlight on a Disney cruise, and the Treasure continues that tradition beautifully. Our first rotational dining experience was at 1923, which felt like the perfect way to start the sailing.

One standout food moment came at Plaza de Coco, where the cauliflower rice was truly memorable. As someone who pays close attention to food quality and allergy handling, it’s always reassuring when dishes are both thoughtful and delicious.

A particularly special moment happened when the chef from Palo Steakhouse came down to preorder with us. He remembered me from sailing on the Wish last year and even recognized dishes he had prepared before. When I showed him photos, he smiled and said, “I made that.” Those kinds of personal connections are what set Disney Cruise Line apart.

Entertainment and Onboard Fun

Disney Cruise Line shines when it comes to entertainment, but some of my favorite moments onboard didn’t involve a stage at all. I loved simply talking with the crew members around the ship. Every interaction felt genuine and warm.

One especially kind crew member chatted with me while I was waiting for Genie, and we ended up laughing and sharing stories. It was a reminder that the magic onboard often comes from the people who bring the ship to life.

Magic in the Little Moments

While the shows and dining experiences are memorable, it’s often the quieter moments that stay with you. One of the most emotional moments of this sailing came when we unexpectedly met our server from the cruise I took with my mom. When I shared that she passed away this year, he teared up right alongside me.

That moment meant more than any big production or scheduled activity. It was a reminder that Disney Cruise Line isn’t just about ships and destinations, it’s about connection, care, and feeling truly seen.

Final Thoughts on the Disney Treasure

The Disney Treasure feels like a love letter to adventure and elegance. It’s a ship that truly works for everyone. There is so much to see and do, including fantastic adult-only spaces, yet it never feels overwhelming.

You can stay busy all day exploring or simply relax on your verandah and enjoy the view.

If I had to sum up the Disney Treasure in one word, it would be elegant. It’s a ship designed to be experienced at your own pace, whether you’re a first-time cruiser, a Disney fan, a couple looking for a refined getaway, or a family creating memories together.

If you’ve been wondering whether the Disney Treasure lives up to the anticipation, it absolutely does.
